Since Bitcoin was introduced in 2008 by Satoshi Nakamoto, there has been an ongoing debate around the value of web3 and the decentralised future it promises.
There continues to be a passionate conversation around what the future holds for web3, and what is ultimately possible. Web3 represents the evolution of the internet defined by community ownership, openness, and composability.
One part of Web3 has been the whole new world its building, Metaverse. Metaverse doesn’t seem to have a concrete definition or a wider acceptance of what it even means and its uses range from games to virtual meetings.
So where are we really going with this? Sebastien Borget, Co-founder and COO of The Sandbox, and Timmu Tõke, Co-founder and CEO of Ready Player Me, are on stage to discuss the journey of building the Metaverse.
The Sandbox and Ready Player Me have focused on giving users ownership of their digital assets while building a whole new world, they have also succeeded in bringing larger companies and names along in their journey, such as Snoop Dogg or Adidas.
