Meta Breathes Life Back into the Metaverse

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg delivered a keynote address on Wednesday at the company’s annual showcase of the virtual, mixed and AI technologies of the future.

The address included updates on the Quest 3 headset, AI chatbots and the arrival of legs in the Horizon virtual worlds app, which is starting to roll out on mobile and desktop.

Keynote news was the Meta Quest 3 VR headset, which comes with a 110-degree field of view, an in-depth mapping upgrade, greater support for video games and is powered by the newly announced Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chip. It retails for $500.

Also announced were the new Ray-Ban smart glasses, enabling you to livestream to friends and followers from the glasses.
